Recently we’ve discovered a bug for the Mobile Holy Quran for iPhone/iPod Touch. This problem seems to affect some iPhone 3G users.
It seems that after a period of time, the downloaded surahs goes missing.
For your info, we’ve set the downloaded surahs to be in the “tmp” folder of the iPhone. This is to avoid from iTunes taking a long, long time to backup the downloaded Surahs.
However, we’ve found out that the “tmp” folder gets deleted randomly!
Now we’ve set the downloaded path to the Documents folder of the application.
This will iron out the bug.
We’ve already submitted the updated version to Apple. Once Apple approve it, it would appear as an update when you launch the App Store. As we have no control on when Apple will release the update, we seek your kind co-operation until it appears in the App Store.
If you apply the update, you have to re-download the Surahs.
Once again, we sincerely apologise for this inconveniences.
We will announce in this blog on the status of availability of the updated version in App Store.
